State and County Candidate Forum ‍ ‍

Support immigrants here on the North Coast by attending the Candidates Forum at the Astoria High School auditorium on Tuesday, April 21st from 7 to 9 PM. We’ll be there in force, wearing yellow to show we oppose cruel and destructive federal actions to capture, house and deport immigrants without due process.

Find the yellow shirt section in the audience and sit with us! Wear yellow yourself! Team members will be asking carefully crafted questions on this topic.

Contact INCOCommuntyResiliance@gmail.com if you plan to attend.

NO KINGS

Just added drone footage. Look for it below.

Trump's senseless, unprovoked war on Iran has already taken the lives of thirteen American servicemembers and more than 2,500 people across the region; in Iran alone, 1,500 men, women, and children have been killed. The American people -- you, your family, and everyone you know -- are reportedly spending $1-2 billion a day on this war, not to mention the skyrocketing prices we're suddenly paying, because of the war, for basic everyday needs. And now the regime wants another $200 billion for their war?

Tell your U.S. senators and representative no money for this war.

Tell Merkley, Wyden and Bonamici

In 2020 we passed a ballot initiative to limit campaign contributions in the state of Oregon. Four years later, the Oregon Legislature finally pass a compromised set of restrictions to be enacted in 2027. This summer they passed another bill, HB4018, which goes further to weaken or even eliminate the limits previously legislated.

Now it sits on Governor Kotek’s desk awaiting her signature. Let’s tell her to follow the wishes of the citizens of Oregon - DON’T sign HB4018 into law.

Tell Governor Kotek that Oregon is NOT for Sale

ICE and CBP are now paying millions of dollars to buy enormous warehouses across the U.S. These buildings are in addition to smaller sites like the one activism by the Indivisible group in Newport worked to stop from becoming a deportation center. (Read more on this story.)

Despite the billions of dollars that DHS, the parent agency to ICE and CBP, got in last year's budget bill, Trump and the Republicans are asking for more money for DHS. This will help to fund the purchases and expansion of deportation camps.

You can build on the success of the Newport activists and others across the nation by reaching out now to your Senators and Representative in Congress.  Ask them to oppose Trump's warehousing and deportation of human beings, including voting against any proposed funding.

Use Indivisible's tools to reach out to Senators' Wyden and Merkley and Representative Bonamici.
