No Kings Vote Early Week
This October, Clatsop County is joining Indivisible groups across the country for a nationwide non-partisan push to VOTE EARLY, and we're making it a celebration that lasts a whole week. From Saturday, October 17 through Saturday, October 24, the goal is simple: get as many ballots as possible into the drop box, early. We're shifting the focus from what we're against to what we're for: free and fair elections, strong communities, and a government that answers to the people. Kick it off with us on the 17th, pick something fun to do during the week, and make sure your ballot is in the box.
OCTOBER 17 KICKOFF
Join us Saturday, October 17, from 11:00 to 12:30 for the No Kings Vote Early demonstration, the start of a full week of getting ballots into the box, and a festive, positive show of what we're for: free and fair elections, strong communities, and a government that answers to the people. We'll gather on the south side of Marine Drive starting at 16th Street and spread out to the east. Bring your signs, a joyful, celebratory attitude, and some friends!
Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici's Town Hall starts at 1:00, so you can make it to both. There's no official speaking program at the demonstration: the No Kings coalition doesn't allow speakers who are running for office. Look for INCO folks in leadership lanyards or green vests.
Please note: our October 17 community meeting at Grace Episcopal Church is cancelled so everyone can join the demonstration and the Town Hall.
OCTOBER 24: FINISH STRONG
Vote Early Demonstration
Saturday, October 24 · Details coming soon
We'll close out the week with another Vote Early demonstration, organized by Laurie and Bruce. Time and location are coming soon, so check back here.
By the 24th, the goal is for your ballot to already be in the box. Make the trip to the drop box a joyful occasion with your neighbors, family, or friends, then celebrate. One ground rule so every voter feels welcome: Oregon law prohibits campaigning within 100 feet of a ballot drop site and blocking access to one, so keep signs, noisemakers, and groups well away from the drop boxes and let everyone drop off their ballot in peace.
One Week. Every Ballot.
