INDIVISIBLE

NORTH COAST OREGON

INCO is a small but mighty all-volunteer organization. Together we stand up for human rights and resist authoritarian overreach. There is a place for everyone in this fight.

Community Sing Gathering

In solidarity with May Days Strong, we invites everyone to lift their voices together in Joy, Courage, and Community.

Join with Vocal Uprising, the Astoria branch of Singing Resistance as we sing simple, uplifting songs—short chants, call‑and‑response pieces, and a few easy rounds. No experience is needed. Singers, non‑singers, and everyone in between are welcome.

These songs are quick to learn, energizing, and meant to strengthen our collective spirit. Every time we sing together, we leave feeling more connected and inspired.

Community Resilience Day

Across the country, May 1 is a day of action for working families. Here in Astoria, we're turning it into something we can all participate in: a full day of community celebration, mutual aid, and local resilience-building.

Not everyone can go a day without work or customers. That's exactly the point. We're building the kind of community where boycotts, strikes, and hard times don't leave anyone behind. It starts with showing up for each other now.

Weekly Monday Protests

Every Monday, a small but steadfast group gathers on Marine Drive to stand together in support of our community and in opposition to the Trump administration. Our consistent presence on these streets matters — it signals to friends, neighbors, and visitors alike what we believe in, gives them the courage to join us, and just might plant a seed of curiosity in those who haven't yet been paying close attention.

If you're ready to do more, we'd love to have you. Find us every Monday in Astoria at 12:30 p.m. on the south side of Marine Drive, between 16th and 17th. Hope to see you there!

The Focus Reports author who kept us up-to-date on important information, has stepped out on their own. You can find this timely data about government and how it affects you at OhSnapTruths.com.

Oh Snap! Truths was built by everyday people, for everyday people. We believe that access to accurate, unbiased information is a right — not a privilege. Every article we publish is independently researched, fact-checked against primary sources, and verified before it reaches you.

We cover the issues that matter most to working Americans: the economy, healthcare, the environment, politics, science, and human rights. If we can't find a verified source, we won't publish the claim — period.

ICE and CBP are now paying millions of dollars to buy enormous warehouses across the U.S. These buildings are in addition to smaller sites like the one activism by the Indivisible group in Newport worked to stop from becoming a deportation center. (Read more on this story.)

Despite the billions of dollars that DHS, the parent agency to ICE and CBP, got in last year's budget bill, Trump and the Republicans are asking for more money for DHS. This will help to fund the purchases and expansion of deportation camps.

You can build on the success of the Newport activists and others across the nation by reaching out now to your Senators and Representative in Congress.  Ask them to oppose Trump's warehousing and deportation of human beings, including voting against any proposed funding.

Use Indivisible's tools to reach out to Senators' Wyden and Merkley and Representative Bonamici.
